In addition, creating space in the body generates a sense of freedom and wellbeing in the mind.  Space is a flexibility workshop aimed at opening the hips and hamstrings working up to Hanumanasana or splits, using different stretching and breathing techniques. All Carol’s workshops are anatomically informed to help you understand limitations and blocks to give students an understanding of how to feel more comforatble in their bodies and progress in ther asana.

This workshop is open to all levels.

This workshop focuses on backbending. This is an area of practice that many students can feel resistance with and yet is so important for the health of the back, the spine and the internal organs. Some of the resistance we feel towards backbending or other parts of the asana practice is rooted in our ambition to conform our bodies to specific shapes, to which we attach a feel good factor. The need to ‘get’ the pose creates fear and pressure in our practie and draws us into a competive win/loose scenario. In those moments, we can forget yoga is about giving back to ourselves and loose sight of the real gifts yoga has to offer. This workshop reminds us that practice is a treat we give to ourselves to enjoy; and to really savour the space between the start position and the full expression of our poses; these are the juicey parts that offer us the deepest appreciations !

This workshop is open to all levels.

Fees are : €35 for 1 workshop and €60 for both. Please secure your place below with a deposit.
