NEURO-FASCIAL YOGA INTEGRATION CPD
with Carol Murphy
@ Yoga Moves, Gort, Galway.
This CPD is designed for yoga teachers that want to deepen their knowledge of the body. It explores the fascial matrix and myofascial trains in relation to functional movement and postural dysfunctions. It looks at the body synergistically addressing referral patterns, which explain why wrist issues can often start at the neck and feet, knees, and shoulder issues can sometimes be sourced at the pelvis etc. It also offers a manual of yoga and myofascial release programmes for various postural dysfunctions, including things like dropped arches, valgus knee, pelvic tilt. scoliosis etc. This CPD also addresses emotions, stress and trauma in relation to fascia and nervous system responses, offering pranayama programmes to help create balance and restoration.
In addition to teaching yoga for 22 years, Carol Murphy is also a qualified Neuro-muscular therapist, which is a form of physical therapy that acknowledges fascial trains and referral patterns.
