This CPD yoga and wellness training is designed to give yoga teachers a better knowledge of the different systems of the body in relation to various conditions. It is taught by yoga therapist Menchu Hernandez.

Please note, the material on this CPD training aims to train teachers to teach yoga programmes to students with illness as a complimentary practice to medical treatment. It does not aim to diagnose, treat or cure. 

Course Schedule
Two 15 minute break, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, are also scheduled.

Prana vayu assessment.

Digestive and endocrine conditions: hypothyroid and hyperthyroid; indigestion, inflammation, blockages; diabetes.

Functional disorders: IBS, obesity, CFS, fibromyalgia, PMS. Discussion

Cardiovascular conditions: high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, heart failure; varicose veins, DVT. Lymph and immunity conditions: allergies; cancer.

Final assignment: devise a 20 minute yoga therapy programme for yourself or someone that you know with one of the conditions covered during the course. Describe the person, their condition, and rational for the designed practice. (Ask them to) practise three times and reflect. Write up in 2 A4 pages.
