Somatic Yoga Therapy Training
Therapeutic Tools For Nervous System Regulation And Embodied Recovery
October 4th-5th & November 8th-9th 2025
Harmony Axis – Somatic Yoga Therapy Training teaches you to “perceive your body from within,” exploring both the functional and somatic dimensions of movement, alignment, and wellbeing. The practice is centered on the spinal axis, the body’s core line of support, and expands outward to restore ease and stability in every joint and muscle. Through asana, mobility, SomaRoll myofascial release, and somatic breathwork, practitioners re-pattern habitual tension, re-educate the neruromuscular system and invite pain-free range of motion. Nervous system regulation is woven throughout, helping students shift from fight, flight, freeze, or flop into grounded presence and resilience.
Through a combination of asana, mobility, SomaRoll myofascial release, somatic breathwork, and nervous system regulation, students learn to restore balance, alignment, and resilience in both body and mind. Each module integrates functional exercises with somatic awareness, helping practitioners understand how the body holds experiences and how the mind-body connection influences recovery.
More than physical exercise, this work nurtures coherence between heart and brain, breath and body, awareness and action. It creates space for recovery from stress, trauma, and postural imbalances, while fostering the strength, mobility, and calm that support everyday wellbeing. At its heart, Harmony Axis is a holistic, integrative approach to yoga therapy—where structure and sensation, function and feeling, meet in balance.
This training is designed for both yoga students who want to explore Somatics and functional movement and teachers who wish to teach the method. Delivered over two weekends, each weekend consists of four workshops for students, plus four optional Teachers’ Integration Labs focused on applying the material in teaching practice. Graduates leave with the tools and confidence to offer one-on-one and group therapeutic yoga sessions, addressing specific postural issues, pain management, and overall wellbeing.
Weekend One
October 4th-5th 2025
The first weekend establishes strong foundations in alignment, mobility, and functional yoga therapy principles. Workshops focus on feet, hips, spine, shoulders, and postural re-patterning, while introducing somatic awareness to help students sense and shift underlying holding patterns. Teachers’ Integration Labs provide space to explore how functional strength and mobility can be combined with somatic practices in both one-to-one and group settings.
Saturday October 4th | 9.00 – 11.00 a.m.
Carol will lead a 2-hour experiential and theoretical deep dive into the feet, hips, and pelvic floor, exploring their interconnection in both movement and stillness.
Optional Teachers’ Integration Lab | 11.30 a.m – 1.00 p.m
Bridge practice and teaching through discussion, reflection, and applied learning.
Saturday, October 4th | 2:00 – 4.00 p.m
Carol will guide a 2-hour experiential and theoretical exploration of the spine, helping students uncover habitual patterns, release tension, and awaken healthy movement.
Optional Teachers’ Integration Lab | 4.15 a.m – 6:00 p.m
An opportunity to bridge practice and teaching through discussion, reflection, and applied learning.
Saturday October 5th | 9.00 – 11 a.m

Working with provided class plans for fight and flight somatic patterning.
Weekend Two
November 8th-9th 2025
The second weekend dives further into the somatic dimension of yoga therapy, exploring how the body stores experiences and how movement, breath, and myofascial release can support emotional release and nervous system regulation. Workshops include somatic disarmouring, SomaRoll for upper and lower body, breathwork, and polyvagal-informed SomaSensing. Teachers’ Integration Labs guide participants in applying these methods therapeutically, helping them to weave together functional and somatic tools for holistic mind-body healing.
Saturday November 8th | 9.00 – 11.00 a.m.
Release tension and restore mobility in the lower body through guided myofascial release and functional alignment exercises. In addition to address physical issues. working with the fascia helps to unlock held patterns and emotional “issues” stored in the tissues, supporting both physical freedom and mind-body integration.
Optional Teachers’ Integration Lab | 11:30 – 1.00 p.m
Discuss applications for teaching and practice, integrating somatic and functional approaches
Saturday November 8th | 2.00 – 4.00 p.m.
Restore mobility and release tension in the shoulders, neck, and upper back through guided myofascial release and alignment-based movement. This work addresses emotional and physical holding patterns embedded in the fascia, helping to integrate emotions and promote overall balance and resilience.
