THERAPEUTICS TRAINING CALENDAR
With Zoom and Recording Options
The training opens with two weekends dedicated to Slow Flow — a gentle, holistic style of vinyasa inspired by Viniyoga. This accessible, breath-led practice integrates beautifully with Yin and Restorative Yoga, and forms the asana foundation for the Ayurveda & Women’s Health, Breath Coach, Energy Medicine, and Heal modules within the training.
Slow Flow Foundations offers teachers the opportunity to build confidence in teaching mindful, breath-centered flow. Rooted in the principles of Vinyasa Krama — a systematic, intelligent approach to yoga that emphasises progressive sequencing — this style guides practitioners from simple to more complex postures in a deliberate, step-by-step way, always anchored by the breath.
The word “Vinyasa” means mindful placement, and “Krama” means step or sequence. Together, they describe a practice that is both adaptable and therapeutic, honouring the individual needs of each student while cultivating strength, mobility, and inner awareness.
This section of the training offers a beautiful winter wind-down and equips you with everything you need to confidently teach both Yin and Restorative Yoga. It’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and immerse yourself in the art of conscious rest, deep release, and inner stillness.
Through the practice of Yin Yoga, you’ll explore long-held, floor-based postures that gently target the body’s deeper connective tissues — improving mobility, releasing tension, and supporting energetic balance.
In Restorative Yoga, you’ll learn to skillfully guide your students into a state of profound relaxation and nervous system regulation. Using supportive props and mindful sequencing, you’ll discover how to create nurturing spaces that invite deep physical, emotional, and mental restoration.
This empowering training dives deeply into Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the context of Women’s Health, exploring the menstrual cycle, menopause, and the unique needs of women at every life stage. We’ll also build on some of the foundational TCM and Ayurvedic principles introduced in the Yin and Restorative Yoga training, expanding their application specifically for hormonal health and women’s wellbeing.
You’ll gain practical tools to balance your hormones, understand common imbalances, and nurture your health in alignment with your unique constitution. This training offers more than symptom management — it’s an invitation to reclaim your sovereignty, release unconscious anxieties, and step into greater confidence and inner wisdom.
Both Ayurveda and TCM provide profound insights into supporting hormonal balance through diet, lifestyle, and daily practices. You’ll learn how to ease symptoms, reduce HPO-axis stress, and cultivate a healthier, more compassionate relationship with your cycle and life transitions.
This module is an ideal addition for Yin and Restorative Yoga teachers wishing to deepen their therapeutic knowledge, guide women’s circles, and support others in navigating their cyclical nature with grace, ease, and empowerment.
In this module, you’ll unlock the transformative power of breath to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Blending modern science with ancient yogic wisdom, this training offers an in-depth exploration of breath as a therapeutic tool for healing, stress management, and nervous system regulation.
You’ll learn how to consciously regulate your own nervous system and reset habitual breathing patterns using accessible, evidence-based techniques. The module also covers how to observe and assess the breath in others, gathering valuable insights into their physical, mental, and emotional states, and how to develop personalised breath practices to support their specific needs.
This module weaves together the science of breath, polyvagal theory, and the art of pranayama, offering both theoretical understanding and hands-on application. Whether you’re deepening your personal practice or preparing to guide others, you’ll gain practical skills for working with the breath to address stress, anxiety, trauma, and to build emotional resilience.
This foundational training also complements and builds on the practices explored in the Yin and Restorative Yoga modules, offering additional tools for nervous system care and self-regulation.
This module offers a deep dive into the world of subtle body energetics and their connection to physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, through the lens of Slow Flow Vinyasa Krama Therapy. Rooted in the traditional teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, this practice explores the art of mindful movement, breath, and alignment with a therapeutic, person-centred focus.
You’ll learn to work with Vinyasa Krama, a systematic and intelligent approach to sequencing where each step is deliberately placed to support a safe and effective practice. The module explores this method in relation to subtle energy systems — including the vayus (vital energy currents), doshas (constitutional types), gunas (mental qualities), and chakras (psycho-energetic centres).
We’ll explore how to apply this knowledge in practical ways, offering therapeutic sequencing and adaptations for a variety of health conditions such as autoimmune issues, cancer, heart disease, and other systemic imbalances. By integrating movement, breath, and energetics, you’ll gain the skills to create practices that support holistic healing, emotional resilience, and energetic balance.
This module complements the Slow Flow Foundations, Yin, and Restorative trainings within the 200-hour course, expanding your understanding of yoga as a therapeutic, energetically-informed practice.
This module offers a comprehensive introduction to supporting students navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. You’ll explore the effects of trauma on the body, mind, and nervous system, and learn how to safely hold space for healing through integrative, embodied practices.
Combining somatic awareness, breathwork, gentle movement, and mindfulness techniques, this training equips you with practical tools to help students reconnect with a sense of safety, agency, and emotional resilience. Whether for group classes or one-to-one sessions, you’ll gain skills to guide others toward balance and empowerment through compassionate, trauma-aware teaching.
Soma Yoga Therapy is a somatic and functional yoga therapy method that integrates mindful movement, breathwork, interoception, and biomechanics to support healing on physical, emotional, and nervous system levels.
This training teaches yoga teachers to perceive the body from within, uncovering how stress, trauma, and life experiences are held in the body. Through practices that re-educate the neuromuscular system and restore functional movement, Soma Yoga Therapy helps address joint instability, scoliosis, chronic pain, emotional tension, and nervous system dysregulation.
The training combines:
- Somatic awareness practices
- Functional asana and mobility-based movement
- Myofascial release techniques
- Breathwork for nervous system regulation
- Therapeutic sequencing and one-to-one applications
Format:
Delivered over two weekends, each including:
- 4 Experiential Workshops (for students and teachers)
- 4 Teacher Integration Labs (for teachers only)
Ideal for:
Yoga teachers with a grounding in anatomy and alignment seeking to develop therapeutic skills for group and one-to-one sessions.
Outcomes:
Teachers will gain the tools and confidence to offer Soma Yoga Therapy classes and private sessions addressing postural dysfunction, pain management, stress, trauma, and overall well-being.
The Chair Yoga Teacher Training trains yoga teachers how to adapt the teachings of yoga for students with limited mobility or anyone looking for a gentle practice. Chair Yoga offers a supportive and accessible way for students of all ages and ability levels to enjoy the benefits of yoga.
Being able to teach yoga to a range of groups, abilities and bodies is so important to ensure yoga is inclusive and accessible. It also makes practical and financial sense, allowing you to offer more classes at different times of the day. Throughout the chair yoga training you’ll learn how to teach seated yoga, use the chair as a prop when standing and incorporate aspects of yoga that can easily be done seated into a class including pranayama and meditation. You’ll explore the needs of your students, including physical and health reasons that might require a seated yoga practice. Understanding and responding to this adds a sensitivity to your yoga teaching that feeds into all other classes you teach.
**SomaSensing Enquiry** is a transformational training where **rest becomes revelation**. Inspired by the therapeutic applications of **Yoga Nidra**, **Breathwork**, **polyvagal theory**, and the inner work of trauma recovery, this method weaves together deep relaxation, body-based awareness, conscious breath, and skilled verbal facilitation.
You’ll learn to guide students or clients into a receptive, mind-body state through breath and relaxation practices, then gently support them in sensing into emotional patterns, belief systems, and inner narratives held within the soma. This approach helps dissolve unconscious holding patterns, regulate the nervous system, and opens the doorway for meaningful, embodied self-inquiry.
**SomaSensing Enquiry** is a core module within the 300HR Therapeutic Yoga Training, designed to complement and deepen your work in other modules such as **Heal: Trauma-Sensitive Yoga**, **Soma Yoga Therapy**, **SomaRoll**, and **Breathwork for Therapeutic Application**. Together, these modules form an integrative, body-based toolkit for supporting physical rehabilitation, nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and embodied transformation.
Expand your Therapeutic Yoga Toolkit on your schedule
The SomaRoll Yoga Method is an integrative, embodiment practice. It combines Myofascial Release Therapy and gentle mobility-inspired yoga. The mobility-yoga exercises work on stabilising the joints and neutralising muscle imbalances relating to bad posture, excess sitting, repetitive stress etc. Muscle imbalances can also lead to other more serious issues such as bursitis, nerve impingement and sciatica to name but a few. Myofascial Release Therapy is not like the ordinary myofascial release that you see at the gym. We use tools and techniques that are suitable for inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, sacroiliitis, fasciitis and other inflammatory conditions to help reduce inflammation. The method also works on re-setting the auto-pilot nervous system response in relation to how stress and trauma express themselves in your somatic body, through the waves, arches and domes that create stability through the fascial system.
This yoga anatomy and alignment training is designed to bridge the gap between modern anatomy and the dynamic, integrative principles of yoga. It combines traditional biomechanics to help break down poses and biotensgrity-based anatomy, which explains how everything in the body is connected through the fascial system. This unique approach sets our training apart and provides a comprehensive understanding of the body in relation to yoga.
By merging these concepts, this training empowers yoga teachers, putting them in control of their teaching. It provides a deep understanding and articulation of the body’s structural and functional complexities, enhancing their ability to teach with precision and clarity.
As part of your 300-hour Therapeutic Yoga Training, you’ll receive 10 hours of dedicated business and teaching mentorship via Zoom. - Space to discuss personal, professional, and teaching-related challenges that arise during your training.
- Guidance in preparing for your final teaching assessment.
- Support in integrating therapeutic approaches, such as Soma Yoga Therapy, into your existing teaching style, whether in studio classes, private sessions, workshops, or online offerings.
On the business side, we’ll cover essential topics including:

Progressive Vinyasa is an alignment-centered, breath-led approach to Vinyasa Yoga that integrates intelligent sequencing with a deep respect for individual bodies, minds, and nervous systems. Rooted in the principles of Vinyasa Krama (the art of wise progression), this practice progressively builds strength, flexibility, and resilience while honouring the holistic, meditative nature of yoga.
Core Elements:
- Alignment-Centered: Every posture is approached with mindful attention to alignment and anatomical integrity, ensuring that students move safely and effectively in a way that supports joint health, postural awareness, and long-term practice sustainability.
- Strengthening and Stabilising: Progressive Vinyasa recognises the importance of stability as a foundation for mobility. Classes are intelligently structured to progressively develop muscular strength, joint stability, and core integration alongside flexibility.
- Flexibility Development: Flexibility is cultivated through both dynamic and passive ranges of motion, always within the context of safe, sustainable, and breath-supported movement.
- Breath-Centered Movement: Breath guides the pace and quality of practice. Each movement and transition is intimately connected to the rhythm of inhalation and exhalation, supporting nervous system regulation and mindful awareness.
- Set Sequence with Adaptable Structure: Progressive Vinyasa works with a foundational sequence framework that can be adapted to suit different levels, class durations, and student needs. This structure provides consistency in progression while offering creative options for teachers to modify, expand, or simplify according to the context.
Holistic Approach: Beyond the physical, Progressive Vinyasa embraces the full spectrum of yoga practice. Meditation, breathwork, philosophical reflection, and somatic awareness are interwoven into the practice, nurturing both body and mind.
Why ‘Progressive’?
Because students are guided on a journey of progression — from foundational postures and simple movement patterns to more complex sequences and refined expressions. This method respects where each practitioner begins while offering a clear, intelligent pathway forward
A defining characteristic of the Progressive Vinyasa 200-hour Teacher Training is its emphasis on functional alignment and embodied anatomy. This section of the training is rooted in Align, our comprehensive, illustrated alignment and anatomy manual, specifically created to support a deeper understanding of the human body in motion. Align also integrates the language of anatomy and alignment to offer teachers a deeper, more embodied understanding of what they are teaching. Through this integrated approach, trainees learn not only the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of alignment but also the ‘why’ – empowering them to teach with clarity, confidence, and a strong anatomical foundation.
A functional, embodied approach to alignment is crucial not only for sustainable, injury-free practice but also for developing a deeper awareness of how movement affects the whole person – physically, energetically, and emotionally. It helps teachers read bodies in real time, respond with intelligent, individualised adjustments, and create sequences that meet students where they are. On the training you will cover:
Foundational Anatomy for Yoga Teachers
An accessible, applied study of musculoskeletal anatomy as it relates directly to yoga postures, movement, and breath. Trainees learn the major muscle groups, joint actions, planes of movement, and anatomical terminology in a clear, digestible way.
Functional Alignment Principles
Rather than prescribing rigid, aesthetic-based alignment cues, Progressive Vinyasa offers a functional approach that considers the natural variations of human anatomy, personal postural habits, and the effects of modern living on the body. The emphasis is on:
- Maintaining joint health and mobility
– Supporting balanced muscle engagement - Encouraging efficient, easeful movement
- Preventing injury through thoughtful, progressive sequencing
Anatomy of Breath & Nervous System Regulation
Students explore the anatomy of respiration, the role of the diaphragm, and how posture influences breath mechanics. This underpins our breath-centered movement approach and supports understanding of how alignment affects not just structural integrity but **physiological balance**.
Somatic Regulation through Alignment
Alignment in Progressive Vinyasa is also a tool for somatic regulation – meaning it helps regulate the physiological body through mindful posture and breath. By aligning the body in ways that support open, easeful breathing and balanced muscular tone, students learn how to calm the nervous system, support emotional regulation, and enhance overall wellbeing.
Breath is central to the Progressive Vinyasa method. This training introduces a breath-centred approach to movement and practice, teaching trainees how to use breath to support physical alignment, regulate the nervous system, and deepen students’ embodied awareness. Key areas covered include:
- The anatomy and mechanics of breath, and how posture influences respiration.
- Breath as a tool for somatic and emotional regulation.
- A foundation in essential pranayama practices such as Dirgha, Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, and Bhramari.
- The principles of breath-led movement and sequencing in line with Vinyasa Krama methodology.
Trainees leave with the skills to confidently integrate breath awareness into asana classes and offer simple, effective breathwork practices to support student’s overall wellbeing.
This training integrates Subtle Anatomy with somatic awareness to deepen students’ understanding of the energetic and emotional dimensions of yoga. Alongside exploring the physical and functional anatomy of the body, trainees will be introduced to practices that enhance nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and the holistic nature of yoga.Key areas covered include:
- Pranic Body and Energy Flow: Understanding the role of prana (life force), nadis (energy channels), and the five vayus (directions of energy flow relating to physiological processes).
- Chakra System: Exploring the Chakras or psycho-energtic centres as a map to explore the relationship between body, mind, energy and spirit.
- Ayurveda – Exploring individual elemental blueprint (Prkriti and Vrkriti) in relation to constitution, present health, diet and lifestyle..
- Influencing the Subtle Body: How breath, posture, and intention shape and balance the subtle body, supporting emotional and mental wellbeing.
- Somatic Awareness: Exploring how movement and posture impact the nervous system, emotional states, and habitual tension.
- Interoception: Developing inner body sensing to enhance the connection between the body, breath, and emotions.
Yoga Nidra: Learning the foundations of this restorative practice as a tool for deep relaxation, guided meditation, and nervous system reset.
By weaving these practices into asana, breathwork, and meditation, trainees will develop the skills to teach with a deeper awareness of how yoga influences the body, energy, and emotions, creating classes that are both nourishing and physically effective.
In this training, we delve deeply into the foundational philosophies of yoga, with a primary focus on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. These teachings offer a roadmap for personal transformation and mental well-being, providing tools like the Eight Limbs of Yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi). Each limb helps students develop a harmonious relationship between mind, body, and spirit, ultimately guiding them towards mental clarity and spiritual growth.
We also explore Vedanta philosophy, particularly the concept of non-duality (Advaita Vedanta), which teaches that the individual self (Atman) and the universal consciousness (Brahman) are one. This perspective fosters a deeper sense of interconnectedness and inner peace. We look at how these teachings support mental health, offering a philosophical framework for managing stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges.
Throughout the training, we emphasize how these philosophical principles can be practically applied to yoga practice, encouraging students to integrate mindful movement, breath, and awareness both on and off the mat. The ultimate goal is to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and emotional balance, helping students grow spiritually while enhancing their mental and physical health.
The training places strong emphasis on developing the skills and confidence needed to teach safe, engaging, and intelligently structured classes from day one. The Teaching Methodology module guides trainees step-by-step through the art and craft of class delivery. Key areas covered include:
- Class planning and sequencing based on Progressive Vinyasa’s adaptable set sequence framework.
- How to cue breath-led movement and alignment clearly and effectively.
- Developing a confident teaching voice and classroom presence.
- The principles of reading bodies in real time and offering safe, functional adjustments.
- Understanding group dynamics, class management, and how to create an inclusive, supportive space.
Adaptation and modification strategies to suit different abilities, injuries, and class lengths.
This practical, applied methodology ensures trainees graduate ready to teach with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
The Business of Yoga module is designed to equip trainees with the practical tools and industry insight needed to build a sustainable, authentic, and rewarding career in yoga.
You’ll cover essential topics such as branding, finding your teaching voice, pricing your offerings, and exploring different teaching options — including studio classes, private sessions, online platforms, workshops, and retreats. The module also dives into marketing strategies, building and nurturing a loyal student base, and navigating the ever-changing world of social media and digital presence.
Beyond teaching, you’ll gain valuable, down-to-earth guidance on the realities of working as a modern yoga professional — from managing finances, insurance, and legal responsibilities to setting boundaries, avoiding burnout, and creating a work-life balance that genuinely supports your personal wellbeing and long-term career growth.
This module empowers you to step into the yoga world with clarity, confidence, and a toolkit for building a career aligned with your values.
